BNP Paribas: MAR 1-15

Known as "Tennis Paradise," the Indian Wells Tennis Garden offers a stunning desert backdrop, world-class amenities, and an unmatched fan experience as the BNP Paribas Open brings the world's best tennis players together for the season's first combined ATP and WTA 1000-level tournament. This year's field is nothing short of spectacular. On the men's side, expect Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, and top American stars including Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, and Tommy Paul, while the women's draw features world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina, and the legendary Venus Williams. Fashion Week El Paseo: Mar 13-18

The West Coast's largest fashion week returns to The Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert, offering an inspiring, immersive experience complete with cocktail receptions, pop-up shops, celebrity meet-and-greets, and more.  This year's lineup opens with a bang — celebrated American designer Sergio Hudson, known for dressing iconic women from red carpets to state dinners, debuts his Spring/Summer 2026 collection on opening night,  and beloved resort wear icon Trina Turk is also among the featured designers bringing her signature California-cool aesthetic to the desert runway. The week also includes trunk shows, in-store events with special deals, and chances to connect with designers and fashion-world personalities.

AmDocs Film Festival: MAR 25-29

The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival — AmDocs — celebrates documentary film and the independent filmmakers around the world. It’s the largest documentary and animation event on the West Coast, featuring works from around the world showcased in front of adoring public and industry guests right here in the Coachella Valley, not far from the media capital of Hollywood. AmDocs is a deeply moving experience — a chance to be challenged, inspired, and reminded of the world beyond our desert horizon, all from the comfort of a Palm Springs cinema.

Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival: Mar 19-22

Produced by Palm Springs Life and set along the tree-lined El Paseo shopping district, this four-day experience features a diverse selection of mouth-watering eats, premium wines, hands-on cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, and much more. The Saturday and Sunday Grand Tastings each feature more than 100 participating restaurants, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and gourmet vendors, with Carte Blanche ticketholders enjoying early access and a private tent filled with premium pours and elevated bites. The festival also kicks off with a James Beard Gourmet Luncheon, making it a full culinary journey from first sip to last bite.

Palm Springs Vintage Market: Mar 1

With Palm Springs being the land of all things Mid-Century Modern, this beloved monthly market has become a haven for lovers of all things retro and vintage. The carefully curated outdoor market brings together local and regional vendors offering Mid-Century modern furniture and décor, vintage clothing from Hollywood's golden era, antique jewelry, vinyl records, and retro collectibles of every kind. Set against the backdrop of the desert mountains the market features live music, food, and a wonderfully friendly community vibe.

Music & Dining Under the Stars: MAR 12 & 19

Each evening of this beloved Desert Willow Golf Resort tradition invites guests into an alfresco concert on the Lakeview Terrace, with buffets crafted to harmonize with the night's featured music — creating a truly immersive experience. In March, the series features two magical evenings: on March 12, Radio Ready, Southern California's premier dance band, performs alongside a chef-crafted seafood buffet, while March 19 brings soulful R&B and Motown from Angelique featuring Dare House, paired with a wine-inspired buffet. With the desert sky overhead, perfectly paired wine in hand, and live music filling the warm night air, this is an evening that captures everything magical about the Coachella Valley.

Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival: Mar 7

This free, day-long celebration hosted by Friends of the Desert Mountains features skilled local artisans, information booths, enchanting wildflower displays, live music, a huge interactive Kids' Zone, a "Naturally Inspired" youth art contest, local food trucks, and a beer and wine garden for adults. Now in its 19th year, the festival celebrates the region's desert environment and promotes education, environmental stewardship, and land conservation. It’s a free, joyful reminder of how spectacular the natural world is right outside our doors, and a perfect excuse to spend a spring Saturday outdoors with family, friends, and neighbors.

PS BookFest: Mar 27-29

Produced by OUTspoken, this three-day literary celebration brings together authors, readers, and community members for an unforgettable weekend of storytelling, learning, and connection. IWPF Desert Bel Air Cocktail Soiree Fundraiser Mar 27

This exclusive event celebrates a first for Indian Wells — the nomination of the Desert Bel Air Showcase House to the National Register of Historic Places. Co-hosted by the Indian Wells Preservation Foundation (IWPF) and the City of Indian Wells, the evening spotlights stunning mid-century desert modernism designed in 1961 by renowned architect William F. Cody. You will tour the home, taking in its iconic kiva fireplace, reflecting ponds, and breathtaking Eisenhower Mountain views, while enjoying signature cocktails and catered bites. Special guests include Modernism Week CEO Lisa Vossler Smith and Catherine Cody, author of Master of the Midcentury: The Architecture of William F. Cody.

Rock Gallery Comedy Club

Tucked in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, The Rock Gallery is the valley's premier intimate 21+ comedy club, and March brings an impressive month of laughs. Highlights include Jenny Gorelick — a rising star known for her viral social media presence and appearances on NBC's The Tonight Show — along with Ian Edwards, a sharp, cerebral comedian who has appeared on Conan and The Late Late Show. On the first Friday of every month through April, El Paseo comes alive with the sights, sounds, and energy of the El Paseo ArtWalk — a free, festive evening where galleries throw open their doors for receptions, live art demonstrations, and the chance to discover works by both celebrated and emerging artists. Stroll the avenue at your own pace, browse a stunning range of styles and mediums across more than a dozen participating galleries. And if you arrive early, don't miss El Paseo Cruise Night, when classic cars glide down the avenue before the galleries light up for the evening.  It's a perfect First Friday, and best of all — it's completely free.
