The Joshua Tree Music Festival is a boutique music, arts, and yoga festival held twice a year in the desert setting of Joshua Tree, California. Arthur Lyon’s Film Noir Festival: May 9 - 12
The Arthur Lyons Film Noir Festival is an annual event that celebrates classic film noir movies from the 1940s and 1950s. The festival features a mix of acclaimed and obscure black-and-white "B" movies, as well as special appearances by actors, producers, and other industry figures. Special guests include actor and writer Jim Beaver, who will participate in a discussion following the opening night screening of "Body and Soul.” The festival will also include screenings of other noir favorites like "The Scarlet Claw" (1944) and Alfred Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt" (1942).

Memorial Day Air Fair & Flower Drop - May 27
The Memorial Day Air Fair & Flower Drop at the Palm Springs Air Museum is a poignant and spectacular annual event that honors the men and women who have served in the U.S. military. The highlight of the day is the dramatic flower drop, where thousands of red and white carnations are released from a vintage aircraft, symbolizing remembrance and peace. Visitors can enjoy aerial demonstrations featuring classic warbirds and access to the museum's extensive collection of historic aircraft and exhibits throughout the day.

Let’s go, Firebirds!
The Coachella Valley Firebirds, the AHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, have had a strong 2023-24 season and have clinched a spot in the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Firebirds finished the regular season as the top seed in the Pacific Division, earning them home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. They will face the Abbotsford Canucks in the division semifinals, with the best-of-five series starting on May 3. The Firebirds have been led by a balanced offensive attack and solid goaltending throughout the season and will look to make a deep playoff run as they aim to capture the franchise's first Calder Cup championship.

Movies In The Park - May 14, 28
The Palm Springs Cultural Center is hosting a series of "Movies in the Park", featuring popular films from years past. The free outdoor screenings take place in the new Downtown Park, across from the Palm Springs Art Museum. The movies featured for May are:
